These terms cover your use of Lingo Pairs. By using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The service
Lingo Pairs is a vocabulary matching game for learning languages, playable solo or with other players in a shared room. It has no ads and no subscription, and you can play it without paying.
Purchases
The phone app may offer an optional one-time purchase that opens more languages. If it does, the price is shown before you buy. Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, are processed under their terms, and refunds follow their policies. A purchase is tied to your store account and can be restored on another device signed in to that account.
No warranty
Lingo Pairs is provided without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be available at all times, free of errors, or fit for any particular purpose. Use it at your own discretion.
Translations are not guaranteed accurate
The word translations in the app were prepared to help language learners study common everyday vocabulary. They have not been reviewed by native speakers of every language offered, and we do not guarantee they are complete, current, or free of error. Do not rely on Lingo Pairs as a certified or professional translation source. If accuracy matters for your situation (for example, medical, legal, or safety contexts), use a qualified human translator instead.
Acceptable use, especially in chat
Each game room includes a chat panel so players can talk while they play. When using chat, you agree not to:
- Send content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, obscene, or intended to abuse other players.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are in a way meant to deceive or harm others.
- Send spam, advertising, or content unrelated to playing the game.
- Attempt to collect personal information about other players in the room.
We may remove content, end a game room, or restrict access for anyone who violates these rules. If you encounter content that violates these terms, contact us at the address below.
Fair use of the service
You agree not to attempt to disrupt the game for other players, not to try to bypass the game's rules (for example, attempting to see face-down cards you should not be able to see), and not to use the service for anything unlawful.
No accounts, no guaranteed data retention
There is no account system. Anything you type in a game (a display name, chat messages) is not guaranteed to be kept for any length of time and may be removed at any point, including immediately after a room ends. Do not rely on Lingo Pairs to store or preserve anything.
Changes to the service or these terms
We may change, suspend, or stop the service at any time, and may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the effective date above.
Termination
We may block or restrict access to the service for anyone who violates these terms or misuses the app, without notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the app's operator is based, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be handled under those laws.
